Description
Heritage Brussels sprouts from the Gemmifera Group. Tall stalks covered in tight round sprouts that taste sweeter after the first frost. One of the most rewarding winter vegetables to grow, and nothing like the overcooked, bitter sprouts that gave this vegetable a bad name.
Pick from the bottom of the stalk upwards as the sprouts mature. Roast them with a bit of olive oil and salt, or shred raw into a winter salad. Frost makes them better, which is convenient in Ireland.
