Description
Rio Grande Toboga is a determinate bush tomato. That means it stays compact, needs no staking, and gives you a concentrated harvest over a few weeks rather than trickling fruit all summer. The pear-shaped fruits weigh 70 to 80g each, with firm dense flesh, minimal seeds and low moisture.
This is the variety to grow if you want to make a big batch of passata or sauce in one go. When the fruits ripen together, you pick them all, cook them down, and fill your jars. One plant in a large pot on a patio will produce more than you expect.
