Description
Black Cherry is an early indeterminate tomato with deep mahogany-red fruits and a rich, complex flavour. There is a smoky sweetness to these that you will not find in any red cherry variety. Highly productive and reliable, it keeps bearing fruit all season.
One of the best looking tomatoes you can grow. The dark colour stands out in a mixed tomato salad, and the flavour holds its own against any variety twice its size. Easy to grow in containers or in the ground.
๐ฑ Sowing information
Sow from February to May in seed trays or small pots. Cover lightly and keep soil warm and evenly moist.
โ๏ธ Light exposure
Requires full sun to develop sweetness, colour and abundant trusses.
๐ง Water needs
Water regularly and deeply. Avoid wetting the foliage to reduce disease risk.
๐ก๏ธ Germination temperature & time
Germinates in 7โ14 days under warm, steady temperatures.
๐ Plant spacing & final size
Transplant seedlings 40โ50 cm apart. Indeterminate habit; requires staking or support.
