Cima di Rapa 40 Days does exactly what the name says. Sow it, and forty days later you are eating broccoli raab. The tender shoots, small flower buds and leaves are a staple of southern Italian cooking. Slightly bitter, slightly nutty, and completely different from ordinary broccoli.

Sautee it with garlic, chilli flakes and olive oil, toss through orecchiette, and you have one of the simplest and best pasta dishes in the Italian repertoire. Fast, easy and productive.

Cima Di Rapa ’40 Days’ (Quarantina) is a very early heritage variety, ready for harvest in just 40 days! This rustic, productive plant is famed for producing abundant tender sprouting broccoli florets and leafy greens, the essential ingredient for the iconic Pugliese pasta dish, ‘Orecchiette e Cima di Rapa’. Perfect for quick, successive harvests from spring to autumn. This packet contains approximately 4800 seeds.
